In New York this past weekend, 14000 people attended the event ‘Jesus Week’ where Churches in New York came together to pray, read Scripture and to reach out to the public, sharing the Good News of Jesus. There were theatre performances, concerts as well as ministry in local school and troubled neighbourhoods, and to the poor.

Christian leaders wanted to hold the event in Times Square, following the recent attack by an ex-navy seal who drove his vehicle into pedestrians, killing an 18 year-old girl and injuring 20 others.

Jesus Week was organised by Concerts of Prayer Greater New York (COPGNY), whose president Pastor Dimas Salaberrios, an ex-drug dealer who shared his powerful testimony during Jesus Week said that people had told him the audio Bible recordings played throughout the day were “the boldest thing they’ve ever seen.”
