Nabeel Qureshi has said he is “encouraged and hopeful” that he will beat cancer and announced he will soon undergo highly expensive immunotherapy treatment thanks to donations given to him via GoFundMe.
In a video blog update posted on Tuesday, Qureshi, who is suffering from advanced-stage stomach cancer, said, “The immunotherapy looks like it will happen, thanks so much from the funding from the GoFundMe.”
He added that a private donor has agreed to pay for the first three rounds of the immunotherapy treatment. Qureshi’s supporters have raised nearly $300,000 for his cancer treatment in less than two weeks since he launched the crowdfunding campaign.
