*sigh* “Why don’t they just pick up the phone and call?”
It’s a common, exasperated question you’ve certainly thought (or someone thought about you) in this instant communication texting climate at one point or another: Specifically, while someone close to you on the other end of a text message, once again, choosing to send birthday wishes while attempting to “catch up”, Christmas cheer with another excuse for why they haven’t returned your calls, or some other elation of emotion, that you think would be best carried through the sound of their voice over the phone, or better yet, in person.
